This policy is effective from 11th October 2010. From time to time we may make changes to this privacy policy statement to reflect any changes to our privacy practices in accordance with changes to legislation, best practice or website enhancements.

Servicing & Repairs

We here at CKS Performance appreciate how difficult it is to manage time between hectic working hours and personal obligations.

Therefore we have devised a system which enables you to continue your business and social life when it comes to your vehicle servicing.

We offer a car collection and delivery service to conform to your arrangements.

For local collection and delivery we offer this facility as free of charge and aim to drop the vehicle back the same day.

 

Our Service package is paramount and offers:

  • Reductions in excess of half of main dealer prices.
  • Our mechanics are ex-dealership staff fully trained in every aspect of maintenance and tuning.
  • Servicing is available at only £65 per hour + VAT and offers substantial reductions even when it comes to genuine parts. We offer you the choice to select the replacement part quality, but always suggest original is the best.
  • Irrespective of whether your vehicle is due for a small or large service, we will always aim to have the vehicle back within the same day. We ensure that all vehicles are cleaned inside and out.
  • We can fit K&N High flow Sports Air Filters* when carrying out servicing. They not only offer a performance gain and a reduction in fuel consumption, but also last up to six years which is a good cost saving on annual servicing! Please contact us for pricing.
  • We only use the finest quality appropriate Synthetic oils when servicing your vehicle. This means enhanced performance and longevity of your engine!
  • All service books are stamped and your manufacturer’s warranty will remain valid

1.1 You will be able to access most areas of this Website without registering your details with us. Certain areas of this Website are only open to you if you register.

2. ORDERING FROM US

2.1 You are deemed to place an order with us by ordering via our online checkout process. As part of our checkout process you will be given the opportunity to check your order and to correct any errors. We will send you an order acknowledgement, detailing the products you have ordered.

2.2 Our acceptance of an order takes place when we change the order status to pending. We will send you a dispatch confirmation by email. When we dispatch the order the purchase contract will be made even if your payment has been processed immediately, unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled your order.

2.3 If you place an order via the phone or internet you warrant that you are legally capable of entering into a contract of sale and you are at least 18 years old and reside in the UK.

3. PRICING AND SHIPPING

3.1 Our prices are indicated exclusive and inclusive of VAT as we are registered for VAT.

3.2 Where we charge separately for packing, carriage and insurance and other relevant charges, the appropriate rates are set out in our specified pricing structure shown elsewhere on this Website.

3.3 Our prices are reviewed periodically and are subject to alteration without prior notifIcation.

3.4 Pricing does not include International duties/ customs fees. 

All shipments outside the EU may be subject to import charges (Duties, Customs tariffs and VAT) which are set by the destination country. They are based on the purchased merchandise’s country of origin/manufacturing and the classification of that merchandise and are levied once your package reaches your country. CKS Performance does not collect your duties and taxes during checkout and cannot predict what your particular charges may be, and in the event you incur these additional charges, they must be rendered in order for your package to clear customs. For more information regarding your country's customs policies, please contact your local customs office.

We use your package weight and product shipping restrictions to match your order with a carrier; we’re unable to request a specific carrier.

3.5 Pricing can fluctuate due to market and currency conditions. We reserve the right to increase or lower pricing without prior notification or consent.

3.6 If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it.

4. CANCELLATION AND RETURNS POLICY

4.1 If you wish to cancel your order:

1.    You can notify us by email before we have dispatched the goods to you;
2.    Or
3.    You can notify us via telephone before we have dispatched the goods to you
4.    Where goods have already been dispatched to you, by returning goods to us in accordance with clause 4.2 below.
4.2  You can return goods you have ordered from us for any reason at any time within 7 days of receipt for a full refund or exchange*. The costs of returning goods to us shall be borne by you.

4.3 Upon receipt of the goods we will give you a full refund of the amount paid or an exchange credit as required.

4.4 The rights to return the goods to us as referred to in clause 4.2 and 4.3 will not apply in the following circumstances: -
1.    in the event that the product has been used.
2.    to any products that we have made or customised specifically for you

4.    if items are not returned to us in a fully resalable condition with all of the original packaging supplied

12.2 We do not warrant that materials/items for sale on the Website are appropriate or available for use outside the United Kingdom. It is prohibited to access the Website from territories where its contents are illegal or unlawful. If you access this Website from locations outside the United Kingdom, you do so at your own risk and you are responsible for compliance with local laws.

13. MISCELLANEOUS

13.1 You may not assign, sub-license or otherwise transfer any of your rights under these terms and conditions

13.2 If any provision of these terms and conditions is found by any court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the invalidity of that provision will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions which shall continue to have full force and effect.

13.3 Only the parties to these terms and conditions may seek to enforce them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

14. RIGHT TO SUB CONTRACT

Unless otherwise agreed CKS Performance shall be entitled to sub-contract all or any part of the work.

15. WARRANTY

15.1 In addition to your Statutory Rights, a Parts & Labour Warranty is provided for a period of 12 months (or within 12,000 miles - whichever comes first) of work carried out by a CKS Performance Ltd. The Warranty covers replacement defective parts or related workmanship. Parts warranty is subject to the manufacturers guidelines and warranty terms.

15.2. The Warranty is dependent upon:

15.2 (a). CKS Performance Ltd being given an opportunity to investigate or rectify any faults within a reasonable timeframe

15.2 (b). The manufacturer's vehicle operating instructions being followed.

15.2 (c). Having the vehicle serviced according to the manufacturer's recommended schedule (at the time or distance specified).

15.2 (d). Full compliance with CKS Performance Ltd advisories, warnings and information or any instructions provided by CKS Performance Ltd.

15.2 (e). The parts or workmanship carried out not being subjected abnormal conditions or unreasonable wear and tear.

15.3 CKS Performance Exhausts

We guarantee the CKS Performance Stainless steel exhaust system fitted to your vehicle for the period during which you remain the registered keeper of the vehicle, or for the period stated in Clause 1 below for specific items. All guarantees are subject to the conditions and limitations set out below. Your statutory rights are not affected by this guarantee.

Claims under Guarantee In the unlikely event of experiencing a defect in your CKS Performance exhaust system, we will repair or replace at our option any defective part. The vehicle must be returned (STRICTLY BY APPOINTMENT) to us. In order to make a claim you will be required to produce the original invoice and the registration document for the vehicle. If physical or contamination damage to the system is evident you may also be asked to provide proof of vehicle routine maintenance, or a current MOT certificate before any repairs are carried out under the guarantee.

Clause 1 Items excluded from Lifetime Guarantee

  • Mechanical items, including flexible couplings and knuckle joints are covered for a period of 12 months from the date of installation. (Please note Condition (2) below).
  • Catalytic converters are covered for a period of 12 months from the date of installation.
  • Manifolds & Front pipes are covered for a period of 12 months from the date of installation.
  • Rubber mountings are covered for a period of 12 months from the date of installation.
  • Repairs or modifications to exhaust components or systems not made by ourselves are not guaranteed.
  • Any other items specifically noted as excluded on the original purchase invoice. Please note that all guarantees are subject to the conditions and limitations set out below.

Conditions and Limitations of Guarantees

  • Surface discoloration or corrosion other than corrosion that results in leakage is not covered by the guarantee.
  • Damage caused to any part of the exhaust system as a direct or indirect result of worn engine mountings or excessive vibration is excluded from the guarantee.
  • Damage caused by physical impact of any kind, including impact with speed restriction bumps is not covered by the guarantee.
  • Damage caused as a result of the failure of a rubber mounting hanger is excluded from the guarantee, unless such failure occurs within a period of 12 months from the date of installation, and has not occurred as a result of impact or negligence.
  • Damage caused as a result of serious engine wear resulting in fuel or oil contamination to silencer materials invalidates the guarantee.
  • Non standard use of the vehicle (e.g. competition or circuit use) invalidates the guarantee. Alterations or modifications carried out to the system by any third party invalidates the guarantee.
  • This guarantee does not cover any form of consequential loss or damage howsoever caused

15.4 Warranty for Alloy Wheels

Painted finish alloy wheels come with a standard 12 Month warranty. Polished/Polished Face Alloy Wheels only come with a manufacturers warranty of 6 Months. Chrome Wheels are for show purposes only and come with no warranty. All Alloy wheel warranty claims must be returned to the manufacturer for inspection. The manufacturer’s decision on warranty is final. Any Damaged (e.g. Kerbed Wheels) will not be covered by any of our manufacturers guarantees.

16. LIABILITY

16.1 CKS Performance Ltd does not accept any liability for any damage or losses suffered by the Customer from the storage of its vehicle at the CKS Performance Ltd garage or facilities.

17. Collection and Delivery/ Courtesy Vehicle

17.1 Collection & Delivery is FREE at CKS Performance Ltd where stated and the insurance cover on any courtesy or replacement vehicle provided by CKS Performance will be covered by the customer's insurance and at the customer's cost. 

17.2 In the event of any damage on a CKS Performance courtesy or replacement vehicle, the customer will be liable to pay the full amount for the necessary repairs including the parts and labour. 

17.3 All fines and penalties incurred during the loan period of a CKS Performance courtesy vehicle shall be borne by the customer.

18. Fraudulent payment

18.1 If a transaction fraud alert is raised, CKS Performance Ltd reserves the right to ask for the payment to be made by BACS/CHAPS.
